Would anyone be interested for a future guide over Showdown? My current guide is over pokemon as a whole and includes some showdown screenshots, but I was also thinking of making one geared towards showdown, like how to validate pokemon and such.

Please let me know if anyone would like a guide like this in the future! I'm trying to think of things to cover in it, so I'm open to ideas/suggestion on topics covered as well.

- Which one was the page for showdown
- Where could I validate my team
- Where do I make my team
- How can I save my team to avoid making it again from scratch (because I spent some hours before and I def would hate forget what I chose lol)
- How can I practice against other players
- Is it necessary to register on the webpage? I noticed you could tinker around by choosing an alias with no log in involved

That's what comes to my mind. I still have a hard time forming a team by strategies, but your other guide introduced me to abilities, ivs and items.

Oh another thing it's I was a bit confused about evasive moves, like if I choose a move that reduces the opponent's evasion ability is that ok? Or is it against rules because affects evasion?

Thank you for the topics! I can definitely cover these in depth, but to answer a few questions here, your teams save in Teambuilder once you create a profile for showdown. If you don't make one and just create a team, the site won't save it because there isn't a profile to save it to.

As for evasion, any move that either lowers your opponents evasion or raises yours is illegal. Moves like Agility would be illegal because people would just use it 3 times for +6 evasion and become practically untouchable, and a user can't use Silver Wind because it has a minor chance of +1'ing all of the user's stats, including evasion.

However, the pokemon Shedninja is fine because Wonder Guard is the reason he dodges everything. Since that's his only ability, there's no way around his potential evasion.

You can back up your team! it stores as plain text, just save it in note pad and if you lose it, just copy paste from note pad

these are prohibited - can we get a list potentially of moves that are not allowed? is it only sleep inflicting, or does rest count, etc?
