So a couple questions about these trophies:

Old pets get their own? Or it's the same as the UC Trophy.

What if your UC is also old? Will it get 2 trophies.

And will there be different trophies for years?

Will there be Y1 & UC Trophies
Y2 & UC Trophies and so on?

What is the cut off for old pets?

Y5? Y10?

I'm just so confused and have so many questions.

Also I am not ready to see all my beautiful UCs as ugly converted pets that I have to pay money to get them looking back to normal... or a new version of normal?

The effect it has for me personally: it shows that things on the site can be removed willy nilly, which is totally obvious, BUT now that it's been waved in my face, it has me apprehensive of putting effort/time into the site knowing it can just be Thanos snapped away like it was never a thing.

Absolutely this. I’ve kept it in the back of my mind that the site itself could’ve just gone poof. I guess I was just always in denial.
I personally love my pets because of the journey it took to get them. Time and or money. I won’t “hate” my pets but it makes me sad nonetheless

And how cool would it have been if the UC Royals got a Royal Trophy, UC Darigans got a Darigan Trophy...

Like they put some thought and care into this... but this just seems rushed.

Imagine your Y1 UC getting the same Trophy as a 10 day old replica...

I don't Ultimately care I rarely play as it is but I wish they put more care in the things they did that have a huge impact on what has kept many of its players around.

I'm going to seem mean but this is such a copout. A lot of people like their pets because there is some reason to like them or otherwise regard them as valuable or an accomplishment. If you legitimately traded up to a UC, and then TNT waved a magic wand with a little fart noise, and it stopped being UC, then are you really going to just go "well at least I can fondly remember working hard to get this thing"? It's like if I took your shiny golf trophy off the shelf and replaced it with a used gas station toilet.

The fact that existing UCs don't get anything unique at all is crazy. This is the sort of stunt companies pull when the line on their graph won't stop going down so they make up a scheme to make a lot of money fast. Also, who is going to buy UCs if they have no status anymore? Half the people on the boards think the redone UC art is butt ugly.

But its not a cop out. It really is perception of value that will be different for each person.

Nobody can ever predict the future. Those that legit traded for the little jabronis wouldnt have confidently predicted that this would happen

Same with those that invested $ in them for resale

Ive bought them for $. The pet that got me froze- the pet I was frozen over (perception)still exists and the current owner got it in 2023

I think this sounds like a really good and cool idea. But I'm not sure how much more time TNT would want to invest in creating something as sick as that with this current roll out, unless its something they want to modify down the line.

Do you mean like a Y1, Y2, et cetera trophy, or like userlookup shields that update each birthday? Both would be cute, but love the idea of having an extra pet birthday thing, lol.

Yeah, I've had a few things give me that feeling in the past year or so of playing, but this is...definitely a lot bigger than the other things.
