Is it true that every year one pet can only eat 1 of each of the 3 cupcakes? So if you had 2 pink ones, your pet's stats wouldn't go up?

True, each pet may only eat one yellow, red, and blue per year. The pet would not even try to eat the second r/y/b, it would remain in your inventory.

unfortunately yes. I think it was set this way because most people we're abusing it by creating pets etc and or finding pets in the pound with birthdays to snag a cupcake to increase their BD pet. I have about 40+ of these cupcakes over the years from my pets and can only feed 1 to my pet each year ;-;
