I'm still wary of large gathering (and will be for a while) so I'm not a fan of this announcement. Even less so with the proclamation of limited items. Is it gonna be like last time and have the limited event avatar? 'Cause that was /neat/

My only hope for their appearance at CC is that it's genuine and not just a bait/switch to get people to look at their metaverse garbage. The last few public showings lately have been about that and it's so discouraging and disheartening.

god i would love to go to a con to see the neopets TEAM. but that stuff is still way to spooky for me, large crowds big no go.

@(you need an account to see links) they have been there for a few years pre-pandemic! I think 2018 and 2019? There are avatars for people who went/got capsules from the event code or whatever (you can still buy the codes from resellers these days but the avatars don't count toward your total) so I am curious what they will do, if anything for this year. Also curious as to what the "limited edition" pins or exclusive swag will be, but doubtless there will be people going in Neopets Nation to give us the play by play if the stuff is a. really good or b. really bad

And very much echoing what Jackalope said - Anime Expo which was last weekend was a huge spreader event and tons of people not only got covid, but are returning to different parts of the country carrying it with them. Hope anyone attending takes the necessary precautions to keep themselves and others safe!

WYP also announced that there will be another 3 exclusive designs, I really hope it's not a shoyru and a kacheek

Pins will only be for sale during SDCC period, and be available in event and online, during july 20-24. It will come with an exclusive code

Welp... I mean it's not the worst design but it just feels... super lackluster for an event exclusive thing? Oh well, makes it easier on the soul that I don't care to own it!

Yeah aside from it being sparkly which I think all of their pins are... what's special about it? A tannish gold Kougra isn't exactly exciting as an exclusive.
