This sounds like how I met my partner.
My approach to meeting girls was heavily inspired by Neil Strauss' 'The Game' and the youtube channel 'simple pick-up' in my early 20s.
We met at a bar, I approached her & her friend, and got her number shortly after. We've been together ever since (about 5 years now)

I met my boyfriend actually freshman year of high school! But we didn't start hanging out more and dating until about a year ago at age 25. He re-added me as a friend on Facebook, I didn't even know we had stopped being friends on there, I think I had indiscriminately deleted everyone from high school. We started messaging again and just connected.
he came into where i worked to do a project for university, then got offered a job - at first i couldn't stand him LOL, then we became friends, then roommates, and we just recently moved across the country together for his masters!
