Hello brilliants ckers! I need your help with Christmas shopping this year! My partner is a glasses wearer, and avid gamer. He struggles with headsets because the way they press on his ears, pushes his ears into the arms of his glasses, and makes his ears throb.
Does anyone have suggestions on gaming headsets that are comfortable with people that wear glasses? Ideally they'd be over-ear, include a microphone, and compatible with an Xbox controller. I am willing to spend a decent amount of money. TYIA for any help or suggestions

I have this headset and my partner with glasses likes to borrow it a lot:

I have the playstation version linked above but when I was at Best Buy they also had an xbox version. 7P the P is for Playstation, so for xbox you would want to look at the 7X.

As someone who struggles with this exact problem + I can't stand anything covering my ears.
The solution I have used since 360 era gaming, is ear buds with an attached microphone!
You may need an adaptor to make it work with the specified controller
but seriously I have quit jobs over forced headphone use and not allowing me to bring my own, I have a medical condition with my ears that will make them turn bright red and hurt like a burn if I touch them too often and the headphones will set that off if they're not buds.
I get having headphone sensitivities. Headphones that aren't buds really really suck imo.

I will only VC with friends on days I'm wearing contacts for this very reason.
My partner, also a glasses wearer, uses these and loves them: (you need an account to see links)
But they're a PC gamer predominantly and have a standalone mic on a stand in front of them when they're playing, so it may not be quite what you're looking for.

Thank you! I will definitely look into this!
This is exactly what I would've done, path of least resistance. That burning condition sounds awful!
Thank you! I saw an older version of these mentioned on an old Reddit post for the same reason. He actually just spent some time researching how to set up a stand alone mic for the xbox, so this could be doable. I will look into them!

I've had some good success with Turtle Beach headsets while wearing glasses. They don't cause pain in my ears and they're super comfortable and light weight so I don't feel awful after wearing them for an extended period of time either. The only real issue is their sound and mic quality isn't the best, but it's certainly passable.

Hi. Active gamer + glasswear person. I use these headphones for mine but i plug it into my controller. Not sure if they come in wireless but I can wear these for 6+ hours and don't get a headache or feel the pressure on my ears with my glasses

i personally cant vouch for glasses. but im afor corsair head sets. anytime my friends used turtle beach, razer or that one walmart brand goody?? they just sound static in comparison.
personally: steel series, asus, corsair budget ones would be:
corsair HS70 - love the design, i have big ears so the oval fits great
steel series - arctics 9 is similar design
asus i know work great, i have a friend whos played phasmo with them and yeah its clear, slight bass and wonderful mic cap
