Every 20-30 days your Ryu has a chance of evolving. The higher your luck is (the stars under your ryu settings), the better your chance at evolving to the next stage of the branch. If it isn't high enough, or if you are already at the final stage, you'll jump to a new branch altogether, which is what happened to you here.

I didn't even realize the stars meant something, thank you!
Mine is at 4.5 stars, does that mean he just jumped to a new branch because he was already a fully grown flower?
I would hate to have had him jump if it's because I wasn't taking care of him

Unfortunately 4.5 isn't enough to guarantee a perfect evo, I've jumped at that luck before, though the egg stage itself usually drops luck, so I'm not sure what might have happened. If you were at the Audrey II stage, then yes, that would have been the final one.

Luck is also from caring for other Ryu. Try not to beat yourself up too much. I always feel vaguely inadequate when I branch-hop, so I get it, but sometimes it just happens! <3 You might be able to find a trade for a flower in the trade thread, especially because I think a couple people are after deer for seasonality.

Oh, could have been that as well. I thought it was seasonal with the special Bunny evo, which I thought was April, but could be wrong on either/both counts!

No wait you were right, I went back on this thread and people were unlocking it on April, my bad haha.

On another note, I finally unlocked both christmas scenes while going through the ryu list. I'm still missing the paints (pudding and lil santa), any hints how you unlocked those two?
