great news though for artists on neo! i really love how after all these decades neo somehow managed to keep their art community alive. with the death of oekaki and withering away of deviantart, neo still feels like this nostalgic enclave of a 2000s art community, which i personally love

Man I want to be excited for this but so many of these restrictions are so ass. This is going to be incredibly annoying to manage with having everything absolutely split up. And when people are allowed to make merch, youd have to make two etsy shops. One for your normal stuff to sell, and one entirely just for neopets. most nintendo ass rules ive ever seen. And how will they stop just normal regular artists selling neopets coms off website?? Like this is so pointless they either should just allow it or dont.

yeah i def agree, its annoying but im still gonna give it a try. i think they are just being ultra careful about what the brand will be associated with, even though its silly especially if artists are already agreeing to not have NSFW or other stuff in the same place

They still are around and it's to my understanding that they wanted to be in the program but only receiving in game currency.

I hope I see on site friends selling their art as I hope to support them

I am so glad to see this. It's too bad people will have to create an extra shop just for Neopets, but it's a step in the right direction. Also surprised that they're not allowing people to make physical items like plush?

considering how many times neopets has been data breached this seems like SUCH a good idea

Neopets was the reason I started drawing in the first place. One day being a featured artist would be such an honor :_; I'll apply, but ngl Neo artists can be so good that I'm just happy to have the chance to buy from them

This is awesome! I love getting art and products and to be able to do it with neopets backing now is pretty cool
