Ok do you eat them with sour cream and applesauce on the same Latke or do you do sweet and savory ones separate? My family always did either you eat a sour cream one or an applesauce one but I recently learned some people do both at once which is very mind blowing to me

ok to start a convo if anyone wants to, what's your favorite holiday food? mine is molasses christmas cookies, and steamed broccoli with lemon my family has for our xmas eve meal

I think this might be an English only thing but mince pies - they're a little pastry tart filled with sweet mincemeat (fruit, raisins, candied peel, spices etc). I eat one bsically every day all of Decemmber :')

I've heard of them but never had one, but that does sound really good. My stepmom used to make mincemeat bars which have similar elements though!

also on the ryu convo, i love ryus so much! even if you dont think you can keep yours alive there are a bunch of people who care for them regularly, so your baby will be well taken care of, or if youre gonna be away or nervous you can always take them off your stack which puts them on sleep mode bascially

that does sound good. i did a semester abroad in london and i miss the food sometimes still. even just the stuff you can get pre-made from tesco felt so much fresher than stuff you can get in the US. PLUS they had crispy M&Ms when the US did not. and now we dont have them once again, do you guys have them out there right now? always my favorite m&m...

Haha no way, I actually did my BSc and Master's in London! Very small world. Ya know, we definitely did have crispy M&Ms at one point, my bro was obsessed with them. I'll def keep an eye out for them

I have to say I do agree re food, my Uncle lives in the US and the food does tend to feel a lot more synthetic
