Wow!! So that's good luck! Most people had been getting it directly after 00 so that is a good sign that you got it so late after the hour!

I don't think time has anything to do with it. That might be more of a coincidence. As Bat said once Ditto is found it moves. So ditto is always around. It's not a time release. So if there are lots of users searching for Ditto there are more chances Ditto will be found and also moving around a lot more as it will move Pokémon bars each time. I had success at a time when the site was slower and less active. As there were less users searching or finding Ditto the odds of Ditto moving was much lower making it easier for me to go the list and pin it down. I hope that makes sense. Overall the time of just past the hour is likely a coincidence 🤔

i was thinking maybe the reason a lot of people got it shortly after :00 is because if no one found the pokemon ditto jumped to prior to that, i was thinking ditto would reset each :00 to a different (possibly more easily findable) pokemon

not sure if that's certain or not but it could explain the :00 phenomenon

although now there's a lot more pokebars in circulation so that probably doesn't even matter anymore!

I thought the same, it makes sense since it's really early in some parts of the world (less active users to compete against). It would make sense too if the position reset on it's own after an hour has passed, though it may be a coincidence as well

I think you’re right about it hopping to a different Pokémon after every hour. I personally caught mine 4 mins after the hour which is why I believe it!

There's definitely credence to Ditto hopping every hour in addition to every discovery. I just rewatched my screen recording from yesterday and I clicked a Raichu at 16:59:08 with nothing, but on the next pageload and my next instance of clicking a Raichu, at 17:00:05 I found Ditto. But not sure if somebody else just happened to catch Ditto in that interim minute. Now I'm curious, if it does reset on the hour, what would have happened if I clicked on an additional Raichu after the clock ticked over but without a new pageload.

I just want to say that we (staff) are very impressed with how the community came together to figure this userbar mechanic out, all while also putting together a directory of all the different Pokemon bars out there! Massive kudos to you all!

Same thing here as well. I think if we can't catch it off the list, one little hidden mon might have the ditto attached. Come the next hour and it shifts and someone else goes through the list, the prize may be there's. Started at :01 myself and got it at :04. Did the list prior too as well and didn't get anything.
