Customizing was the reason for updating neopets with new ugly art and poses, and you can't even customize your pets or see them rn.

Why should we keep playing neopets?

The new inventory page is ridiculous. In what universe will I ever - like ever - need to sort "Furniture" and "Grooming" items? Those tabs should have been used for "My Shop", "SDB", etc.

I feel like whoever designed these new layouts has never even played the game.

I wouldn't be surprised if most of this work was outsourced to cheap teams from South East Asia or India. It has that feel to it, the recently graduated in graphic design on a 2006 Compaq in an area prone to blackouts.

I heard Gutterfoot is part of the team that handles that stuff - no idea if she's dev vs designer vs whatever, but it starts to make sense when you see the only person communicating with the community is supposed to be doing UI/dev/design shit lol.

Apparently they DID outsource but they fired the team who were warning them about Flash EOL. But I'm only picking this up from creeping other people's blogs lmao
