I transferred a pet a couple weeks ago and didn't have this issue. But maybe it's a new glitch?
A Neopet that I own on an account gets this message when I try to transfer it or when I try to remove it's petpet. I've never seen this before. Is there a way to remedy this? The pet has been on the account for at least eight years and the other pets on the account don't have this issue.

I had that error come up when trading between my main and side (pet's that I have always owned on both accounts) the error just kind of stopped happening after a day, so I'm not sure what causes it, nor how to fix it sorry

Space or punctuation in the name?
Have you tried to trade from another account direct for the pet?
I've had that error quite a few times in the last month, but it goes away if the transfer is sent by a different account - or at least lets you bypass the error.
Is the username capitalized?
The username is not capitalized, the pet can not be requested for transfer either. It gets the same error that I do not own it. There are no spaces or underscores, it's a regular VWN.
Hey. I've actually this happen to me. Seems like a new 'flagging system' on TNT's end.
Unfortunately your best bet is to wait a day or so until the error goes away, or to do
a pound transfer. If the pet hasn't been moved in an absurd amount of time, you will
sometimes get that error. If you're impatient, a pound transfer will do it. I also
once changed and added a PIN number to give me "permission" to transfer a pet. Sometimes
that works as well. Give it a shot.
I am the user with the pet that's having the error. I can not send it nor have someone request it. It is the same issue.
