I dream of retiring somewhere tropical and secluded!

New Zealand. Nice like Aussie land but not nearly as many scary and deadly insects and spiders. Plus still a short visit if I do want to expose myself to that.
I've already thought this one through a bit...
Costa Rica (not by ocean). Weather still reasonable at ~3K feet elevation. Can build my own unpermitted structures w/ utilities (save a ton), grow a large garden (land is cheap outside pricey expat areas). Excellent state healthcare with additional private supplementals that are still very cheap. Also specifics like clearing land (cheap heavy rentals) for a small ~<1000ft ultralight airfield has been something that I've always wanted which also ties into affordable experimental aircraft certification/registration.
Germany. More specificaly Cologne or Berlin (2 amazing cities). I'm staying right now in Germany (exchange program, coming to an end soon) and things here just work... quality of life is just on another level (compared to my home country). With any kind of job you can have a decent life.
Although I never wanted to leave my country for good, I could see myself coming back here in the future for a masters/phd or to work for a few years. Sucks that the language is such a pain, I've grown found to it but can barely express myself even after studying and living here for these past months.
somewhere to the ocean probably...
Italy. There is some kind of magic in Europe but Italy is by far the place I'd like to spent the rest of my days.
Any where with a country side, I'd love spend my old age on a middle no where place ♥

Somewhere in Europe. They have better healthcare and they get a lot more vacation time than Americans.
