^ luckily I go to a community college. So it's not as cut-throat.
I hated first year, I realized how much work the degree was actually going to be. But wait till those grades really start to matter in the 300 and 400 level courses and everyone is just bitchy to each other worrying about grades. It is hard to sometimes get average when everyone else is a high honors student. I had a pharmacology class with an average of 86 and that equated a B at the end of the year! lol. And here once the more advanced courses begin you get people who are reluctant to help you out because if they help you and they get a lower mark and thus a lower grade they are pissed...it is all about grad school and professional programs once you get into the advanced stuff. And no one is getting in those without extremely high marks.2 B's, 1 C and an F that got posted by accident. Still waiting for it to be fixed. Dx
First semester of college blows.

^^ Agreed!!
First semester back is horrible. But my CC has a mandatory class. First Year Experience(i took my 3rd semester. lol) that shows students what to expect, and how things REALLY r at college. lol
I think if the teachers graded with a curve, I'd always have A's. lol. I just may be cocky though.
Getting an F by mistake? Shit, that must of gave you a heart attack the first time you saw it lol

First semester at a university was this one, which was a LOT harder than the community college. I don't expect much. I know I got a C for Chemistry, which could be worse because it's my first time having chemistry ever. The other ones may be worse :/. Maybe you can cheer me up deadfolx :o
Yea, in college I aced every class....first year of uni I was like o.O
Pfft I got my grades in. I got 2 A's, 2 B's, and 2 C's.
i think i did well on all the ones that count towards my major that i have to keep a 7.0 cumulative GPA in (my school is on a 12 point scale lol) but the other ones i think i did enough to pass i had two finals worth 70 % and 85 % soooo i hope i did well
It would be nice if they had a standard grading scale across all schools, at least in canada anyways. I hate when one school is a 4.0 another a 4.33 (my current school, whats with the .33), 12 etc.
