But it depends on the modem/wireless adapter your PC/Laptop/Mobile has...
For PC/Laptop I think you can use backtrack or similar, for android bcmon & Reaver? idk I've never tried since, as I said, depends on the modem.
btw, it could take up to a day to crack the pw, also depends on the encryption (WPA/WEP)

What you should do, is go over there and hang out. and ask them for their wifi password so you can use it on your phone.
Then wallah, you got their shit xD
And if you dont want them to see your computer connecting, connect to them on your phone. then turn on your mobile hotspot.
Go over there pay them 10$ to use their internet, steal the wifi pword
