I have not been to Japan before, let alone Disneyland Tokyo. Hopefully once all of these covid blows over, it would all be open and safe again. It has been too long since I travelled overseas..

During halloween, disneyland tokyo visitors are allowed to cosplay and enter the theme parks as their favourite disney characters!

the first (and last due to covid) time i went disneyland tokyo, it was during the halloween period and i saw a family all dressed up as snowwhite and the dwarves! it was so coooolll!!

but during normal days, no cosplay is allowed in the park though.

would like to return to japan once this covid situation is better!

not sure if this cosplay rule is the same for other countries..?

From what I know from the research my family and I did before visiting Disney theme parks in the US, it's not allowed to cosplay as an adult, so you won't be mistaken as one of the park's official actors. Kids can cosplay though!

I've been to Disneyland Tokyo and the Universal Studios in Osaka last year this time of year, it was so amazing! Both were really crowded though. I haven't seen any cosplayers in Tokyo (DisneyLand, we didn't visit DisneySea!), and Universal Studios were so much more impressive. They had Halloween themed 'spontaneous' shows all over the park. Some areas were restricted to adults (or teens) only because the actors had really creepy and graphic zombie costumes on. Like, reeaally scary.

There were also a lot of Halloween themed 'rides' or mazes. We went to a Chucky maze and a District 9 maze (the aliens were super realistic, 10/10 creepy shit).

Halloween is not celebrated in my country so I was surprised to see how Japanese culture is influenced by American culture (and yea I know that both of the theme parks are American, and YET the Japanese people were so into it). I would recommend going to both theme parks on Halloween to anyone who's visiting Japan, once the COVID is over

Once i finish my house credits i'll go to every country on my list. Japan is in there, i want to go to Shingeki's park in Universal so much!

Here we had a theme park that allowed adults to cosplay for birthday parties and halloween, they even had a contest of the best costume! But that park is closed now
