That's not on purpose. The tipsy userbar's username effect is supposed to be wavy text with a gradual color transition. Perhaps the css template is getting cached? Could you please tell me which theme you're using?

This is what it looks like as a username and what it looks like as a post for me:



This is the css my browser is using.

If it helps, I'm using the default forum theme and browsing with Firefox and can view the color transition and animation with no issue
When I switch to Chrome, the text shows up white. So it might be a compatibility issue with Chrome?

I can see the gradient color change in this tag, but not the movement

Ohh I thought it was weird how some usernames we're showing up as white on the forum. I thought the site was maybe glitching or something.

As a side note, does anyone know what permission group @(you need an account to see links) has to make her UN that shade of grey? Is it the Umbreon one? I like it!

Okay! It should be sorted now, but you may need to hard-refresh (Ctrl+F5). Turns out that Chrome doesn't play nice with compounded animations in child elements. Who knew!

i think i must have missed the window for tipsy today HMMM, i havent gotten it. but maybe i didnt post enough or in the right place

I really like the baking userbar, but I think that's one I won't be able to get as I've neither baking skill nor latent interest in it haha. Will have to admire from afar.

Also curious on which UB causes username effects to become white, or if that was just a bug.
Edit: Just saw on the last page it was just an error with the Tipsy bar

I bet you could come up with (or find) some cool low-effort and easy recipes to do. A cool userbar is as good an excuse as any to wiggle some new muscles!
