I can't understand why they do this though, it's really backwards thinking. I mean they're all seeking UC's and at the same time, they are making sure that the UC population diminishes with all the reporting, which in turn will only make it harder for themselves. It makes my brain hurt...

Because they like to be special little snowflakes and white knights of the PC who save everyone from the big bad cheaters!

Honestly though, the people who were adopting out those pets or trying to trade (the UC RG Kyrii, UC Faerie Peo, and UC MSPP all recently) were not very smart about how they went about things. Anyone with a brain could see something was off. Cache your pet, wait a while, make your account look legit. People just get impatient it seems.

They think they're doing themselves a favor because they believe all pets that aren't legit will be frozen, taking your precious account with it. they think they are saving accounts, at the cost of the pet.

Still really stupid since there would almost always be NO REASON for the pet to be frozen if they weren't reporting.....but meh.

Well that's true, however some of them could also just be older players (probably not though).
Anyway, I still think it's stupid, they will eventually run out of UC's, if they continue this way.

Oh I totally agree, I can't stand PC detectives. I don't report people because I LIKE the fact that more UCs are being brought in, it's more trading for everyone and better pets. And also because I couldn't care less if someone wants to buy a pet, more UCs = yay! Old abandoned accounts are usually just going to be purged, so the PC really just screw themselves over while making other player's lives difficult in the process. In one of those threads someone said something like "Well if a pet comes on the PC who I haven't seen before or know the name of, it's obviously stolen and I report them." What now? So you know every pet that will ever be or ever has been UFT? People come back from hiatus all the time, or maybe they don't spend their lives on the PC. Such terrible logic.

I still can't get over that one case when the PC went report happy on a girl who had been gifted a UC Royal, she got frozen... then a few days later unfrozen because her story was true. And I think it was a younger girl... I mean, REALLY PC??

Same here man x_x the PC is just ruthless, and quite illogical tbh. I know the PCers on cK are chill though, cause they buy pets

Can I agree with that over and over again?
Seriously, just buy a UC or just don't report ones that come back into circulation. Everyone wins that way

I love it when folks neomail me about pets I'm about to trade for telling me "it's suspicious" and to "be careful". Then later on I see them seeking the pet type they warned me about. It's like if they can't have that offer no one can. Seriously just buy the damn thing if it's causing you that-much-stress.

I am incredibly tempted to take half of the really nice UC's I've harvested from inactives, put them all (safely) on one account, make it well known on the PC for a month or so, then have the account have a mental breakdown, decide to make a "fresh start" and abandon the UCs one by one to see what the PC will do. Will they report me for being suspicious, or try to get one of the awesome UCs for themself?

I shall call it "PCer's Dilemma".
