It's Summertime!

It's finally summer time!
(at least for those of us in the northern hemisphere!)



So, I want to know...

What is your favourite thing to do in the summer? Are you a total beach bum? Lake lifer? How do you like to stay cool? Popsicles, ice cream, good old fashioned AC?
Maybe you have a favourite memory from the summer time? I wanna hear about it!

I will go first!

As a kid, we would always go to the outdoor waterslide park in June at the end of the school year. We would stay all day until we were EXHAUSTED. There was this one slide that was super scary to me, it was really fast, had big drops and was in pitch black. I remember the year I turned 12, I was FINALLY brave enough to go down it by myself. So I did, and it was a blast! Once it was time to leave, we'd get a twist (chocolate and vanilla swirled) soft serve ice cream cone.

For my summers I love to be outside camping in the mountains, going golfing and hosting outside campfire/BBQ nights with friends and family at our home! Summers are sooooo short here we need to take advantage of every moment beofre the snow flies. Fun fact....a local mountain ski resort is opening up for 6 days of SUMMER SKIING! If I wasn't working I would totally be taking advantage of this. WHo can say they have gone Skiing in SUMMER/JUNE/JULY!?

Some of my favourite memories as a kid in the summer was of course goin camping, fishing and golfing trips with my parents. I also have fond memories of attending the towns splash park as a child and spending days there splashing around and eating ice cream and popsicles.

Also fun thing to add favourite popsicles flavour! Either Blue raspberry or if available the Blue, red and white rocket popsicles. Omg I'm drooling now wanting one!

I LOVE coconut icecream! Never tried Sweet Potato + Coconut tho! I'm used to eat Sweet Potato as pure with meat or smthing, but it is sweet, now i need to try the ice cream!

Swimmer @(you need an account to see links) makes me so happy ♥ I'm envious of spending my summers in big pools with lots of people that just enjoy swimming, give me a second childhood
@(you need an account to see links) will probably try slip n slide some day! Wil ltake precautions x'D we have this long dirt road that leads to my mom's house, we use it to sledding on winter, it could be perfect for sliding on summer!




I need to add that when winter became spring and later summer you will always find some old man selling cubos waiting outside the school! We would hunt the poor man to make empty his frosty cart, i know man just made some cheap juice and put it on his fridge like in the photo previously posted, but that juice ice cream was glorious for summer!

@(you need an account to see links) holy shit those look SOO good I really need to try that sometime (but I am lazy and a baby so I'm sure it won't happen) but I absolutely looooove coconut as a flavor! Mix it with mango too and it's just ugh, so good.

Also mexican or spanish paletas with the fresh fruit in them... BANGIN back when I was in uni there was a little store off one of the small roads that sold these and my god I could eat a million of them they were so fresh and cold ugh I wish there were somewhere near where I live now that sells them ;-;

YES! Omg I used to love slorping them up but also the surface tension of the lid with the jelly inside was so satisfying. I grew up with so many Asian neighbors who were kind enough to share their treats and now I'm having a nostalgia wave. I need jellies and pops!

Yes I remember these! It always drove me crazy that I couldn't eat one before the other was melting on my hands. We didn't get prizes for the sticks though. What kind of prizes would you get??
