Have you ever traded a pet you bought without getting frozen? How did you get away with it?

From what I've observed, PCers are not as suspicious of DN/BN pets T5 and below popping up, especially common ones. I have advertised a couple pets which I bought (T5 and below) on the PC, which were PC unknown before. Nobody raised an eyebrow and nothing happened to me. Please share if you've had a different experience or if you disagree.

I know the general tips for trading bought pets are 1)have a story prepared only if someone asks, 2)don't show up with more than 1 new UC if you were on the PC recently, 3)make your account look like it's a veteran account and not a shell, 4)don't have more than 1 adoption or gift story. Any other tips I am missing?

This seems like an unwise discussion to be having in a section of the forum whose only barrier for entry is owning an account. If you are not currently having difficulties with these kinds of trades, then you may potentially be inviting it by openly describing how to perform them. Please be careful with what you say in this thread, everyone.

I would wait awhile before doing this since this post here about the specific tier could invite some issues, like @(you need an account to see links) said, but I'll leave you with a piece of advice (probably obvious, but you never know) offer privately. Don't go posting to the PC with a high tier.

I'll never understand the mentality of the PC. It would be way better for them to just turn a blind eye to the "illigit" UC pets that are coming back into the game. The only argument I can really see making is if the person who originally owned the account comes back, then it becomes a bit of a problem but I feel like at least 90% of the time that's not going to happen. The pets have long since been abandoned. More UC's means more trading and more chances for people to get their "dream" pets.

There was a trade reversal not long ago which isn't an ideal situation but I think there are ways for TNT to handle something like that better. Either compensating the current owner of the pet in some way ie letting them create their own UC pet (as this would be a very rare occurrence) and returning the original pet to its owner, or Just compensating the original owner.

Plenty of times back in 2015, though, that was still when neopets was still a semi-popping site.

As Goddamit said though, the pets I traded were low tiered like darigan lupe or grey yurble so no one had any big suspicions. I'm not sure how that's changed now though.

I had a darigan korbat and a faerie grarrl at one point, but those were much harder to trade for some reason and I never ended up trading them but just sold the account altogether. No suspicions but like I said, this was 2015 when there was still a large userbase but I think the tumblr page pcoutlist was pretty active at the time. Don't draw an unnecessary attention to yourself like "oh I just got back on neo" or "friend gifted me this" etc.
I find it easier to just post casually on the boards like "glt" or chatting with other people from time to time. It also helps to post on other boards too as some pcers do lurk on other boards.

But seriously, overall, don't try and trade a high tier uc on the pc. You have too many "report-happies" that'll report you for anything.
