I believe it's 15 prizes per day. When you've won all your daily prizes there will be a message telling you that after the battle.

Alternatively, there's a Battledome prize tracker, it tracks the Np and item count after each battle on the 'Collect Reward' pop up that comes after winning a battle.

Yup pretty much. It's not a 100% drop but it's a fairly decent chance of getting one. You should be averaging one atleast evry few days. So just unlucky there, but you should still get some over a span of time.
