I just love an excuse to look at a cat. No anger in this post. I just like cats.

the amount of times I whisper "oh for fucks sake" under my breath in exasperation when having to work in Oracle, or a SmartView export out of Oracle, is truly staggering

When my elbow hits the corner of the table, my body can't decide between pain or laughter and then I get angry about it

I hate hitting the start of the incoming stream of looking-back-on-2022 stuff because this has been one of the shittiest years of my life (following 2021 being one of the best and most hopeful). Whatever non-COVID virus I got in February set off a domino effect of bullshit that isn't going to magically get better when the calendar ticks over. It's only December 3rd so honestly it's only been a couple things so far, but I know it'll just pick up speed, and I'm just already so tired.

I am not an accountant but I control my expenses in a small and precarious excel. But why does it never work? aaaaaaaaaaa I hate when my money or my expenses in Excel do not correspond to reality.
the difference is very small but it should be perfect.
I'm being ignored by my friend because I said I wasn't free this week to hang out with them
oH BUT IT'S FINE WHEN THEY CAN'T MAKE IT WHEN I ASK.
Nope.
Not mad at aaaallll.
Not at all.
*that's rough buddy*
Whenever the barometer shifts, my right knee starts aching due to two old injuries. It annoys me the rest of the day/night then.
I'm angry that my adhd is so severe it stops me from taking my adhd meds every day

me, to our account department: okay so does this thing you did mean yes, i need to include this in my revenue forecast or no i do not need to include this
our accounting department:
We do have a process with DE to hold pushing orders in the daily files to the revenue system, if there is any product in the order that is not configured into the system. The DE team put those "on hold" orders in daily exception files. My team use those exception files to add the new configurations in another file for me to review (SOX control). Once I review and approve, then they add it to the system. Once those are added to the system, we share an updated configurations with DE, and then automatically they push all orders on hold through the daily files, thus all got processed in the system.
In December, as I was trying to enhance the control operation, I added a step to check the completeness, and I tried to see how many products are added into the exceptions files for all 2022, and my team did not added it to the file I review. I found a bunch of products, and the ((redacted)) migration was one of them. At that time I didnt know that this is related to the migration from ((redacted)) to ((redacted)). How the product team apply the migration of entitlement? The product team add a new product to the parent order, which means they added the ((redacted)) to all parent orders that used to be served by ((redacted)). Those orders are all dated in 2015 to 2020. Based on the above, once I approved the ((redacted)) product, the system got a new product related to old historical orders that we already closed them and fully recognized related revenues. Thus the system reallocated all of those orders (all orders subject to the migration are processed in December once the configuration was added, as related orders were put on hold in the exception files). As there was no additional bookings for those orders (no new charges are added to the customer), thus total NAB was not affected, however the reallocation process that was done in the system which reclassified transaction revenue or all other revenues to the newely added product under process ID 94.Thus through our correction process, we tried to isolate the impact resulted from adding this product, so we have removed all related orders from NAB and revenue amortization reports, and the total reclassification resulted from that was $6M
not pictured: my brain just fucking straight up melting as I try to translate this into a yes or no answer
