I mean, the bribes have been pretty fun overall, but I believe the Neopass system also makes some legacy systems a bit more annoying to deal with....that being said, I haven't had any significant issues, but I'd say if you don't benefit from that kind of thing, you should probably hold off on it.

My streak didn't break and I did my quests before that update, so I'm wondering what exactly happened there.

I did yesterday's quests and had no problem but also no premium prize. Today I had the prize and completed the daily quests and the weekly streak with no problem.
