Seems like the Neopets business development/merch team has gotten their latest collaboration with Hasbro with this new LIMITED (2000 only) release!

The game set itself is really cool, but comes with a hefty price tag of $79.97 USD ($69.95 early bird before April)
For those like myself residing outside the US, shipping also really add to the total cost of this.

$80 on sale for $70? LOL
It's not like we are talking something widespread like GoT or LoTR - it's neopets. It's insanely niche and likely the only reason the price is so high is because of how few of them are going to sell. I can't imagine a world where this is a sought after purchase for too many people. Basically just priced that stamp/av at $35 each because those other items are just a rerelase.

This is misguided and not what anybody asked for.

Exactly. Are we going to see people playing a Neopets monopoly out in public? Rarely, if at all... The asking price is ridiculous, and I won't even comment on the shipping fee they're trying to scam with.

You could probably get away with charging $70-$80 USD for a decent sweater. This better have the same outcome as the cookbook avatar...

They are trying really hard to revive interest in the site past week, with the try guys on youtube recently etc. We will see if this work.

I'm surprised they haven't attach any LE NC wearable to physical merch yet, NCer spend so much on the site already and will buy anything if they can trade it for 10+ cap value.

The board is pretty cute. Any franchise-specific Monopoly game makes me wish they'd sell the little playable characters separately, they're so chibi and cutesy. The price is crazy (international shipping making it ~$250 is extra crazy), but with how few they're selling and how niche of a product it is I imagine Hasbro pushed for a high sale price. I suspect most people are going to take the codes, use them, and then put the game away or display it on a shelf. Not the weirdest crossover they could've gone for, but afaik Monopoly is less of a widely beloved game and more a "widely tolerated at most" one. It'd be cool if they got Mattel to make a Neopets-based Uno instead imo (is Mattel still a thing? Do they still own Uno?
