Life is handing me lemons. *Rant Thread*

We don't really have family or friends we can vent our frustrations to, so need a place to dump this, and to get it off my chest. Who knows maybe someone can find it helpful knowing they aren't going through a rough patch alone right now.

No real disclaimer in terms of trauma. I did spoil it so if you got this far and don't want to read my rant you can still turn around.

I'll join in commiseration. literally just got home from paying a $2.4k auto shop bill. Two weeks ago it was $800 to have our trees trimmed because storms in the area are knocking branches off a lot and our roof was at risk. Last week a random garbage disposal incident cost us just $100, but endless hours now of my husband fretting that our water heater is going to go out sometime soon (he has no reason to believe this other than Paranoia™) and thinks we should just rip the bandaid off and get a new one. Also probably a water softener, since the water is so hard around here it corrodes pipes over time. No single one of these is a significant problem on its own but ffs why do they have to happen in a sprint like this >.>

100% agree.

We went through similar when we bought this house.
Exactly the same cost for tree trimming here too!
We have a 2 story house and the two trees out front tower over our roof. So we had them trimmed before winter.

We just paid off both our vehicles and finally felt like we were getting ahead now it seems we will be struggling again. But all is well and we will get through it.

I just wish problems happened slowly and spread out so you could prepare and better handle them.

Also, taxes are so insane it's not even funny. Like "Hey government... sorry to bother you, but did I do these right?" "LMAO IDK" - IRS, probably

I hate tax time so much because we pretty much owe every year now a pretty significant amount, but we invest so having money each month makes a bigger difference throughout the year... /sigh, adulting blows sometimes.

Ugh I feel your pain.... My smart phone, bike, laptop and boiler all broke down in a couple of weeks. Don't even know where to start as I don't have money for either of them right now
