My native languages is Spanish since I'm from Mexico. I learnt english since elementary and all the way along but as @(you need an account to see links) said fanfiction was a great entry to more vocabulary for me lol (ofc my memory can only retain a bit haha)

I also studied a bit of french when I was in college, very interesting. Sadly I didn't go through all but first courses.

took some duolingo classes for Norwegian (to watch Skam as it was airing without subtitles) and i got decent enough to think in the language but then it ended so i stopped, but i do remember some phrases

My country's official language is Malay, in which I'm somewhat fluent: I'm better at reading it than speaking and writing it. My native language is Chinese, at which I'm absolutely terrible.

I primarily use English. I grew up with it and learned it through books, films, and television.

I also took a couple of German classes in university and tried getting back into it on Duolingo at the start of the pandemic. I'm sure to struggle with the second-level lessons again if I were to reinstall Duolingo.

Spanish is also my first language! I read and write pretty well in English, but I'm terrible at speaking it. I get nervous and everything is worse TwT I know it's due to lack of practice... but I could think about a ck language study group hehe

Does sign language count? It was an option for me to take 2 years when I was doing college courses when I was in high school and it counted as a foreign language on my college application. I had always been interested in it, but I do wish sometimes that I had taken a spoken language instead. I often tell myself I'm going to put the work in to learn Russian or German but then I never take the first step, lol

If sign language counts, then I know 3! My sister was born deaf and then the whole family learned. I want to do a specialization because I also use it in my work.

I am British born to Lebanese parents. English is my first language but I also speak Arabic too Lebanese Arabic to be precise, as there are different dialects within Arabic.
