I was going to post this in the Avatar Studios thread before realizing it'd've been hella gravedigging and then I remembered that this production split off from that, anyway.
God, I've been pretty ambivalent towards this, but I'm watching the trailer and suddenly I'm just so excited.
Under a spoiler just in case.
Omg I was just talking about this earlier today with my friends!! I'm really fucking hype, and it looks amazing. The poc cast, special effects, costuming, sets everything feels like it's really going to deliver visually at least 😭 hopefully the writing/pacing is there to match! I'm trying to take this as I did One Piece, where it is a live adaptation - not remake. It is/will be/should be its own thing and hopefully that thing is something wonderful to add to the franchise, not take away from it. I'm very interested to see how they diverge/expand upon plot points or characters (from what I heard for example Azula is going to play a bigger role or have more background given to her) and GOD just hearing the soundtrack in the back of the trailer made me want to tear up! I haven't had any time these days for watching things but you bet come 2/22 I will be binging this as soon as I can! 😍
