my personal favourite from them (has been since this album released nothing has beaten it so far for me but modern Opeth is really good too.)

I actually prefer the older stuff. Blackwater Park has got to be one of my favourite metal albums ever, it's even better if heard front to back rather than one or two tracks in my opinion.

Same, though my favorite album is Ghost Reveries, I got it when my mom was ill and it helped me get through that and her passing. Even though Mikael sings about murdering his mother in the lyrics... Weird how that works. Though I always understood it to be merciful killing.

Older Opeth is best Opeth. BUT, their newer stuff is also worth checking out. But for me little can beat older opeth.

And for some reason opeth reminded me that Otep exists.

I've been a Nightwish fan since 2004, all thanks to a weird mix-up involving the Resident Evil: Apocalypse soundtrack. I was so glad to have finally seen them live last year!
