NC UCs coming in December!

I wouldn't be surprised either if January becomes February, and then February becomes March, and then March becomes April...

They very clearly don't actually know what they're doing with it yet - the whole AMA should have been postponed imo as they couldn't solidly answer a single of the (whole 5 pre-approved) questions they allowed to be asked, and Dom Law even tried to say it was better not to have questions and just talk to their guests.... on an AMA.... where one of their guests was praised for maintaining insane working hours... what a time.

Anyway I won't be surprised at all if it doesn't arrive in January, and at this point I'll be surprised if it *isn't* some form of gacha. It's well established that gacha earns way more money, so why would they choose another option? Switching it from a brush to a 'ray' definitely hints that this is what they're thinking about. My guess is that this means they'll also add a 'zapped by the UC ray' text to the pet look up, as they've spoken about making it clear on lookups that pets aren't 'OG' UCs.

I don't think they would do it with there only being a chance of it working, however. My feeling is you get a 'faerie zap token' and your pet can randomly become any faerie UC, or something similar. Which probably means pre-painting would be meaningless. it could be a fun choice if they allowed trading, but I can see that upsetting OG OC owners, and a lot of people really want pets with names they choose.

We can only wait and see what they do! I'm sure releases won't come that fast after the first one, so it could be years before we get the full range of UCs back.

Tbh, I always thought it was going to be some sort of gacha mechanism, because it just makes more sense for them to do it like that, money wise. Like some sort of NC Cookie where you spin a wheel and you get a random UC-fying potion. But when they called it a "UC Paint Brush" I was so excited because that meant that probably we were gonna be able to just pay for whatever UC we wanted, but now they’re coming up with this “uc ray token” or whatever it is they called it.

Guess we'll have to keep waiting for them to decide what the heck it is that they want to do.

Yes, that's why they were named "NC UCs" by the fanbase. TNT drops hints every now and then on how it'll exactly work, but it's still a bit up in the air on some aspects, like the pricing and such.
