I'm thinking of getting this tomorrow - as a massive fan of RPGs and soulslikes but a complete noob to DnD, will I enjoy it? The only thing I have reservations about really is the combat!

So, do we think the game will ever go on sale? It’s “on sale” right now on Steam but it’s literally only a couple of dollars off LOL. I guess it’ll probably be a while before a good sale comes. I just don’t wanna drop $75 on it right now 😭

i was also very noob when it came to DnD when i got BG3, but its honestly a game you dont need any DND background in to enjoy! i've been having an absolute blast.
the combat is honestly kind of slow, especially playing solo - so if you think you may not enjoy it because of the combat i would maybe look into the game a bit more and see if theres anything else that would make it worth it to you in terms of your enjoyment. my worry was also the combat, as i refuse to play solo still (lol) - but ive played campaigns with friends and have always had a really good time with it! its a beautiful game with loveable characters and a really fleshed out world, so honestly if youre super into rpg and dont mind trying something youre not used to when it comes to combat, i say give it a try

probably not for a good long while, honestly. game is still fairly fresh/new in terms of game releases, and it won game of the year this year. so i dont think a game like this will be seeing any big sales anytime soon!

I've had a lot of fun playing BG3 with friends so far! I don't have very much prior experience with DnD as well. I intend to do my own single-player run at some point, though I have a bunch of games + some I picked up from the Steam sale that I need to start/continue All of my profiles are still on Act 1.

In the multiplayer save that I've gotten the furthest on, I'm playing as a Sorcerer Dragonborn.

i've enjoyed playing as a fighter (specifically eldritch knight) the most so far! i also enjoyed druid a whole lot.
always a tiefling tho cuz.. cmon... beautiful demon women

Will do! I'll be playing solo so hopefully won't find it too hard. I managed 200h of Elden Ring alone so fingers crossed lmao
