Someones trying to get in my account? Requesting password reset.

    Hi CK,

I just received a notification that someone requested a password reset on an account. Ive prevented it by clicking it wasn’t me but is there anything else I can do to better secure it?

◞ thank you @KJiU for my Sunflower scene + @kittyray for my lion!

Make sure you have 2FA enabled if it’s your main account. That’s the best way to secure it. I’d also update your pw while you’re at it since someone attempted to get in. Bitwarden is a great PW manager (free) and it can generate a super complex password which it’ll remember, and you can also auto fill with a quick shortkey when you want to login

Edit: Here’s a 2FA guide that $(you need an account to see links) made btw: (you need an account to see links)

Definitely use 2FA. I'd be surprised if anyone could still take your account if you had it enabled. And change your current password in the remote possibility it's been compromised.

There's probably a freak chance it was a genuine mistake on someone's part if your username is a common word or easily mispelt to be something else, but I'd still be cautious.

Seconding what everybody said above, but if you want to feel even more secure I'd also recommend changing your email password. It might be overkill but better safe then sorry.

As others have said, 2FA is your best bet. If you haven't changed your email in a while, I'd do that as well honestly.
I wouldn't be all too afraid though, stuff like this happens sometimes. Sometimes people even do it just to be annoying, like if you disagreed with them on the neoboards, but I wouldn't fret.
Thank you Lyrichord for the userbar!
