I'm a huge rap/underground hip hop and metal fan but this group Alien Weaponry has grasped me in a way I can't even explain in words. The beauty behind the artistry of this song composure along with the message makes me rotate this MFer on repeat 20x a day

Also finding them was a complete rabbit hole fluke, I started listening to my normal playlist of Pear Jam, Pantera, in to Sepultura; and then found this song and deep dove in to Maori culture and absolutely love how they're keeping their language and heritage alive through their music. The song title itself translates to "eat people" which seems morbid but I LOVE it with all of my being. Kia ora my friends.

OH and I found out afterwards from their new bass player Turanga Morgan, directly from him, that Mike Tyson's face tattoo is inspired by a Maori Moko

Uh I really like this idea!

usually I find music through spotify, series, youtube videos (as ost).

I'm more into some alternative rock, indie, folk.
Like: Hayley Williams (and Paramore, especially their new album), Wolf Alice, Daughter.

Something someone showed me a few days ago:

I've never been a huge fan of Doja, but the story behind this and the fact she comes in on a troll? It kills me lol, apparently she's getting a lot of hate and this is kind of a revenge song. I don't know how popular Doja is, but she was new to me lol. It's a catchy song!!

I saw a short for this on YT and had to search to find the full version. Very much outside of my normal listening, but the throat singing caught my attention! I have a feeling this might be well liked here! It looks like she's 18 - her career is just starting. She blends ethnic instruments from around the world with EDM.
