How many games are actually backed up to archive? As in the specific url for the game ID. I wouldn't mind making sure more are backed up and joining in with you on content preservation.

I used a developer's account to download every Flash game they have on the server by cross referencing what they kept in the game details table, and that amounts to around 940 unique copies of games, including beta and unpublished versions. Whatever wasn't in the table at the time didn't get archived, but that's not to say that the files themselves aren't in the directories somewhere. That would require manually crawling though, and I stopped short of doing that to focus on data mining the files to retrieve external assets.

That is insane. That also probably is a lot faster than going through it manually. Any chance we'll ever see beta versions of games? See what could have been and different developmental stages? I am nuts for that kind of content.

That's probably not something that I'd have the attention span to wade through, but I'd be happy to turn the collection over to somebody trustworthy so that they can data mine it and publish their findings.

If I actually knew what I was doing I'd volunteer tbh, I know how to emulate and rip flash from websites but that's about as far as that goes.
I absolutely love this and would consider it lost media that would be uncovered by this community (though mostly through your efforts)
