Movie sequels that are better than the first movie

Which movie sequels do you think were better than the first movie? Try not to think of movies that are part of a series that have 3 or more movies if you can!

For me, I think the Extremely Goofy Movie is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY better than the first Goofy Movie. I bring this up because I seen people wearing merch from the first movie (like Powerline merch) a lot lately, but I'm sorry it's not that good compared to the second one lol.

the best out of the Raimi trilogy, no one can tell me otherwise xD It surpassed the first movie on such another level. The movie has such good pacing, the effects still look sooooo good for something that's come out of 2004, even now it doesn't look as aged as the first movie.

I also loved that they used animatronics for Doc Oc's arms. Something you don't often see today in movies. I honestly feel like this movie surpasses most Marvel/Super hero movies *apart from Spider-Verse IMHO*. Also the colour palette that's used in the first two movies have an ember/warm tone to it, most movies now have this weird green filter. Also a lot of really great head shots.

Oh my god I remember Extremely Goofy Movie! I loved it so so much

I can't think of any movies that are better than the OG at the moment - I want to say one of the Kung Fu Panda's movies we're better than the first (I just can't remember which one)

I can think of a few, but most are trilogies. It's hard to find movies that are only two.

But Kingsman: Golden Circle was fun, maybe more so than the first one. Spider-Man 2 was amazing as well as someone mentioned!

I have to say The Two Towers where better than Fellowship of The Ring and Return of The King was better than The Two Towers. Personal opinion though. I love them all though. So much. I pretty much have to watch the extented version like every 4th months or so ^^

I have a very controversial opinion that people hate me for - Fellowship of the Ring feels way too long.

Interesting, considering it's the shortest one. But it does have a few scenes that makes it feels longer than it should. Ngl.I can acually agree on that one. Never thought of it before though. I still sit like a kid on Christmas watching those movies xD

I see talks of Lord of the Rings and I bring up Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is better than the first one.

As someone who was told (By family) its not possible to binge ALL the pirate movies in one day (Yes its possible - I've done it). As much as I love the first one - I enjoyed the second one much more. It had funnier lines, conflict and overall kept me captivated more than the first one

I actually don't know why it is, but that's the movie that's the hardest to get through for me. Maybe it's because it's the first one too lol, like if you choose any of the Harry Potter movies to watch, Sorcerer's Stone ain't it.
