Happy Pride Month cK!
I've never actually spoken about my sexuality with my family before, but I have talked about it with my cousins. With being Filipino, I've always felt like being LGBTQIA+ seemed like it was frowned upon so I had always suppressed those feelings and never really talked about it. It wasn't until after high school that I had experimented with one of my friends. Throughout high school I was always attracted to girls, and never really had an attraction to guys until that one night with my friend. He ended up opening that door for me and that's when I discovered that I'm Bisexual.
10 Years later after that door was opened, I'm proud to be who I am with my sexuality. Though I have yet to be fully open with it with my parents/aunts/uncles/grandparents, I'm still proud of my sexuality and when the time feels right, then I'll bring it up with my parents; though I do have a feeling my parents already know, and aren't planning to directly ask me about it until I bring it up to them myself.
With that being said, one of my friends from Hawaii is visiting this weekend and we'll both be going to the LA Pride Parade!
Aside from the parade, we've both planned the entire weekend to have a great time and enjoy our time together!
Again, Happy Pride everyone!
