Summer Games Done Quick 2023 - Neopets: The Darkest Faerie

Hi all! Just wanted to do a quick post.

If anyone is a fan of speedrunning then I’d recommend tuning into SGDQ on Saturday. I’ve been watching all week and just looked at the schedule and noticed that a speedrunner is playing Neopets: The Darkest Faerie. I’m sure the game will end up looking like our beloved website; entirely broken.

How exciting! I love watching the speed runs each year (and in general lol). If anyone needs any recommendations, you should check out Summoning Salt on YouTube. He breaks down and goes over speed running for some games like the older NES Mario games, Punch-Out, Jak & Daxter, ect. It really helps put into perspective how much time and effort it takes into practicing runs.

I never played that game and have only watched a handful of speedrunning videos, but this seems like it could be cool to tune into!

That's not a game I am overly familiar with but I am a speedrunning nerd so I will be checking that out.

Wow, the fact that GDQ is so big and someone actually is participating with TDF is honestly really fucking cool haha. Props to them, speedrunning is definitely not something I could get behind. xD

I love watching speedruns and how they totally destroy the game inside-out, and can't wait to watch this happen to a Neopets game
