    Proxy question

I have proxies from webshare. It has 2 methods of "authentication". The normal one is user/pass so it's ip+port+username+password. The second method is using your own IP to authenticate the proxy. Is this safe? Won't this give away my current original ip address since it's used to access the proxy or the proxy runs via this ip? Should I run a vpn, find that new ip and then use that to authenticate?

If you have the proxty:port:user:pass it should auto go and connect first through that otherwise it will time out. Try it in Firefox with FoxyProxy

Nah - you probabbly have the same issues as me.

NO idea why or how but chrome hates the same proxies that work on FoxyProxy

Firefox works perfectly. I wish I could tell you why

Yeah chrome is so crap. I changed my password and username on webshare and now it's recognizing it on chrome.

So just to confirm, removing the user/pass and using ip authentication doesn't make it any more unsafe right? because on stealthcore, you can't put a user/pass so i'd have to ip auth.? @(you need an account to see links)

The only recommendation I have is to use a proxy service that doesn’t just cover your particular browser but your entire session on your system. That’s what I usually do, I hate having to find fresh proxies individually and use them in each browser.

Any vpn recommendations? I thought paid proxies were better than vpns? I have gotten chain frozen while running the majin restocker on vpn with no connections to my main. Not even np transfers.

Did you clear your cookies or did you use it all based off the same browser? If you aren’t using incognito mode or clearing your data between accounts, you could leave bread crumbs.

I can’t give any recs as the one I use is a bit pricier, about $150/month - and I’d like to keep it a little private so as to keep other people from jumping on and using it haha. Paid proxies are a solid choice though, anything that’s not “cheap” and publicly available so that others aren’t using it for illicit means while you think it’s clean

Main main was used on chrome at the time and stealth restocker with vpn on. It uses firefox i believe. No cookie clears so maybe that's why.

and no worries i'll stick to proxy for now.
