For me, it was the rainbow after the hailstorm, and how the clouds finally gave way to more light.

I am SUPER grateful for my brother!
A few days ago my computer finally died after 10 years (yeah, its old lol)

Well, he went and ordered me a WHOLE new one! The computer that died was a used one, so he hooked me up with a new baby!
Has all the pretty lights lol

This is a cool thread topic I like to hear about good things happening to people, just so happens too, I've been complaining to my spouse about how we could use a new computer from this millennium and how frustrating it is working on our current desktop, well when I came home today there was an Amazon package waiting for me and it turns out my wife bought me a new windows 11 i7 something or other and it's just a huge upgrade over my old system. What a surprise! I could have never expected something so sweet! I'm so grateful to have someone in my life who loves me more than I love myself! Haha - on the downside , my monitor I have is only VGA-DMI compatible and the new computer only has HDMI and DP display ports! But I found a compatible adapter that'll be here Friday!

I am always really grateful for my circumstances in that I have been able to work and been able to save money through my life. Sometimes I get charged unexpectedly for things and I always think about all the people these small charges would fuck over hugely, even people I personally know that it would effect a lot. Even though sometimes it doesn't feel like I'm doing anything too important at work and wish I could just not go to work, I am definitely glad I have an income to have a comfortable enough life.

These days I was mad that I tried to help someone at work with something I've done before so they won't scratch from zero and they were practically complaining about how I did it. Like dude I'm not perfect I know but I'm always open to help others if needed no malice at all, we work for same people... If you're going to bitch about it then shut up and do it all alone don't come asking me... or at least have the balls to say it on my face and not on my back.

It was really frustrating and discouraging how ungrateful some people are. Fortunately not everyone is like that, whenever a coworker sees me and takes time to happily come and say Hi genuinely and do a little chitchat it puts a smile back on me.

No worth losing time on people who don't deserve it honestly.

Little things can really make your day better and realize there are always someone who can cheer you up with the simplest words

I love this thread and really needed something positive this morning I've been so exhausted and stressed from work and positivity is always a shot in the arm.

Small things that have made me happy lately -

I'm one month into living at my new home. Yesterday my neighbor's very shy small dog came over to say hello and brought me a leaf from her front yard, which her owner informed me is her "happy to see you" gesture and means I'm now in Flicka's circle of trust.

I planted some flowers in what had been an empty dirt bed in my front yard and saw some butterflies on them. Similarly, I potted a small Japanese maple on my back patio and have already caught a cardinal hanging out on the branches.

Been working some miserably long hours (like, routine 9am - 11pm long) thanks to a perfect storm of overlapping deadlines. Was sitting on my computer at 5:30pm on a Zoom call earlier this week, no end in sight, and my boyfriend silently crept into my office and set a bubble tea and some snacks on my desk.

Someone on Neo I adopted a pet out to sent me an update about how much they're enjoying and love the pet.

I struggle with social anxiety and feeling like I don't fit in, people not liking me and/or noticing my lack of social skills.

At work, there's a group of people that are The Group, the ones who get along with everyone and are just a fun bunch in general. I'm friendly or friends with all of them, and we sporadically go on lunch or coffee breaks together. Though sometimes I feel like an outsider, which is only natural because they do see each other almost daily, whereas I tend to work from home or at another location. Anyways, I was super social during this morning's longer coffee break, chatted nicely with everyone, and even got to know a few people I hadn't really talked to before but always seemed nice.

Uuuh long story short, I'm grateful I get to work with these people in a field I love. Also, yay me for being social!
