Image size too big?

I had a profile pic with a userbar that said "Daffodil" and a picture under it, it was beautiful. I can't reupload it though or upload one the exact same size and everything. Did something change with the sizing restrictions? The one I got now is really poor quality that I made myself as a tester but it's definitely not as good as the old one someone kindly made for me here ;3;

No worries. How large are we talking? Knowing the size might help me track down the setting that's giving you grief.
