I listen to literally everything but I grew up on hip hop so that can always get me in the mood.
I'm a big hip hop head so I listen to alot of Nas, Cube, Vado of late..
I also like Rock - but I'm not expert - I don't even know if these are all considered rock but I like Breaking Benjamin, Switchfoot, Three Days grace
As you might guess I really don't listen to current music Not that I think its bad or anything but I don't listen to radio or random stuff on Spotify so I just stick with what I know really.
I like music that makes me feel like I'm training for battle or like I'm a hot villainess! That means I'm listening to movie and trailer soundtracks or phonk.
Omg I was literally going to make this post the other day!!!!!
I listen to what gets my adrenalin going. I used to only do cardio so I liked drum and bass for my running workouts because it helped me keep a faster cadence. Typically, I'd listen to a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix because I'm also impatient so if I listen to my own tracks on my phone, I tend to skip around a lot. In an Essentials Mix, I can let it run and not worry about wanting to skip a song because it starts to slow for example. I'm training at a powerlifting gym so I'm not doing explosive or fast movements anymore so now, literally the only thing I listen too consistently is the Doom Eternal Soundtrack (justice for Mick Gordon!). I don't listen to that soundtrack anywhere else because I want it to be something I look forward to when going to the gym so it helps to keep me motivated to go. It's a great combo of metal/hard rock/electronic music (the "harder" stuff like The Prodigy in their prime) to get me pumped to pull a deadlift PR because there's a lot of build ups and drops in the music so I tend to time my sets around that. Here's an example of what I mean:
Also the music is just, in general, badass like the Doom Slayer so it pumps me to be a badass and pull heavier weight lol. Like, I'm training to be a badass chick more than anything tbh
Not that much of a gym goer, but when I do exercise at home or go for jogs I listen to pop or k-pop, lol.
Opposite of what a lot of people listen to, I know, but I really like popular k-pop beats
Upbeat kpop or like @(you need an account to see links) said something that makes you feel like you're going into battle. I used to really like listing to a cinematic playlists (Groups like Hidden Citizens) when I went to the gym and was doing heavier stuff. Makes you feel so cool lol I know it makes you instantly lame saying that but whatever lol.
