posting a script from someone else? (from another forum?)

so i was navigating the scripts page and i noticed there is no main shop goods highlighter that is functional nowadays... i mean, the item hider is amazing and i plan on using it too, but being able to tell the estimate value of the item you're buying just by looking at it is what made me more comfortable restocking...

the script i have installed is color coded, so you can define the profit by something like this:

green - x > 10m
yellow - 1m > x > 10m
orange - 100k > x > 1m
red - 50k > x > 100k
purple - gallery/collections

depending on the shop, multiple items of different values restock at the same time, so you know which one to prioritize

the problem is that the code is not mine. i got it from a post on neocodex some years ago and i don't think the person is active anymore. i mean, if you go to the original post, that code won't work. i made some changes so it's functional as well as some visual changes to make it pop out more and be more eye pleasing... ^^

the only problem it has is that if you highlight an item like "chocolate cake", it will also highlight the chocolate cake part on "scorchio chocolate cake", for example. it's not a problem for most shops i think, but it can be confusing. i tried to fix it multiple times, but i'm not a coder, so i couldn't solve it yet

anyway, i see some people were looking for a script like this so i thought it could be cool to share with you... i just wanted to know if that's ok. i would give the credits and all... but i think it'll be very hard to get the author permission. =/

i don't know if it is problematic too that it's from the other forum, but i don't think there are many people there anymore (and i was never a member there too). and since i'm a newbie i don't even know if i can post this kind of thing too... so many doubts, lol

Rooting for this script to get approved (if that's not breaking any rule!) this is such a good idea and would make RS soooo much easier!

the author of the script is stated as "MediaTriggerWords, modified by ayyylmao"
mediatriggerwords seems to be known there as "fourjacks" too. i haven't found them here.
there is an user here called "ayyylmao" but i'm not sure if it's the same person and i don't think they are active anymore.

so, unless they have different usernames here, i don't think they are known

i'll start to work on a thread to share the script. ^^ it needs a smaaall tutorial, but its mechanism is similar to shawn's item hider
