Line betting is setting an over/under for something =3 In my example, setting the line of bad ref calls at 2.5 means people would either pick the under (they expect there to be 2 or less bad calls) or pick the over (they expect there will be 3 or more bad calls).
another example - a group of sales bros at my company once put together a work baseball team to join a local league and were so terrible that it became a weekly ceremony for me to set the line at how many runs they'd lose their next game by and everyone place their bets lol
