don't know where you're located or what your budget is but this is a pretty solid desktop that would probably be more than adequate for sims LOL. i think a 3060 graphic card computer is pretty good still, it can play many current and new releases.

if you ever did need more than 512gb, the plug in portable hard drives are pretty cheap too.
IF you did want to look into a gaming laptop, you'll probably need a cooling pad underneath on the desk. I feel squeamish about having those powerful graphics cards in a laptop.

Actually that's not even that bad of a price. A Macbook will cost way more.
Can I revive this thread? I would be glad for any thoughts/comments/suggestions on my PC build that I'm hoping to finalize in the next few weeks and start building.
Here is the (you need an account to see links) from PC Part Picker. Yes, it is a bit excessive and high-end, but the idea is for it to be as future-proof as possible, since it's replacing my PC from ~2011.
Hey @(you need an account to see links), please create a new thread instead - clraik has (you need an account to see links), and it's generally considered poor form to hijack another person's thread with your own discussion.
