@(you need an account to see links) i thought you were playing it before i even started xD Do take note if you don't have enough badges and you receive a high lv mon from Excalibur or Dracarys it won't listen to you.
Mankey is basically your best friend so you might want to grab one from the start also here is a Chasney farm guide for you which teaches you how to grab a rilolu at the front. Once you power level your mons elite 4 is a piece of cake

I should be around most of the day so just let me know what I need to do to prepare for the trade and such. What do you mean by pace the training?

They will grow faster since they are traded, so you just have to make sure you have enough badges according to their level. I don't think it'll be an issue, there are so many pokemon to catch and trade in the game. If mine got to too high of a level, I'd just rotate with the other Pokemon on the team/in the PC.

I have a few chores to do but I'll be ready in a couple of hours. I will have a link trade code set up. You can trade me any junk pokemons you don't want. Hope you're enjoying the game so far! I got lost in the open world for days.

But still! S/V is such a fun version of the game. I do admit that I like the classic style more, but this is a nice breath of fresh air for it!
