You'll have lots of fun! Starting out, be careful of where you are going because the levels of wild pokemon and trainers can jump significantly. Your pokemon can also stop listening to you if they get too high leveled and you don't have enough badges. Just remember to hit up a gym once in a while. I started with the Bug gym out of the east gate. To catch Pokemon more easily, you can sneak and hit them from behind. This will stun them with a greater chance to catch and fill up your dex/train your pokemon. There are lots of useful items on the ground all over, make sure to pick them up as they'll help you along your journey a lot.Originally Posted by Great White North
