I'll put it this way: your experience in a community is largely in part based on your own interaction with it. There absolutely is a sense of community within various subreddits. Its up to you how you interact.
Same with here at clraik. We are WAY more than just Neopets. How can you become a part of a community if you don't ever interact or put your voice out there? Its a two way street, and you'll be tough-pressed to find anything out there quite like clraik. But like Cat Purrson said, maybe I am biased
