Neo_Truths - The truth...

I always found something off about this account sharing back-end information about Neopets. I started asking myself questions, one being if this is really helping the game?

This person began sharing private information about Neopets games and content that only someone with back-end access to the website server/database could possess. They shared a number of times publicly that they began by downloading a copy of the entire website files (PHP, HTML, etc.) and digging through them to find open holes that allowed live database access. Apparently, this took years of studying the game files to finally find such vulnerabilities.

Is this really our Neopets Batman? Take a step back and think hard about what they've done for the Neopets community so far.

The main posts and content shared:

- Spoiling daily results

- Outing cheaters

They did share a couple posts addressing glitches (R100 items not stocking properly) which was great, but unfortunately, those posts are tainted by the other posts shared and it seems they didn't even bother sharing a solution anywhere.

So, how is this any good for the Neopets community? The neopets reddit community cares so much about the state of Neopets, yet they glorify and praise someone doing these things. Why isn't neo_truths sharing these exploits with TNT? For years, they abused their access to share useless information. They don't care about the game. This is called clout chasing.

Again, they don't care about Neopets. Taking a long time to report their live database access allowed others to abuse the exploit and essentially live access to do as they please. We still don't know what is happening with account information. I still change my password regularly, just in case. It's worth mentioning they never confirmed reporting the live access, and their access was/is very limited after TNT acted on the breach a few months ago.

This is no Batman to the community.

So, who is neo_truths?


There was one thing that continued to light a bulb in my head whenever reading through their posts. At first, it didn't seem like much, but it's very true that people tend to go back to their old ways.

Sadly, they were a prominent member that always shared content with us, strikingly similar to their style of sharing these days. They would come and go, sharing all sorts of content, but mostly bots and programs. They were the first to create a Habitarium Auto-Player.

Why were they banned? Members, younger females, would approach staff about RDD (n_t) making them uncomfortable on instant messenger. Excessive flirting which lead to sexual harassment. Our staff asked him to knock it off, only to be approached by more members again and again. They never dropped this disgusting behavior and were booted out of the community. Unfortunate, because they contributed some of the most unique bots to not only this community, but many others. They also helped create the now-dead community, neo-codex.

Back to the clues they've left behind...

They kept giving out clues as to who they are with their posts. This person spent years in hiding after being banned from this community. It looks like they tried really hard to improve on their grammar, but their recent shares and posts have shown slip-ups, which have gotten worse as of late. If you cross-reference their now banned account's posts with the reddit account posts, you'll see a very similar style of grammar. They talk alike and love to brag about insider information.

Another big question - why have they not joined and shared anything here?

Ask yourself, is this something Batman would do?

Don't you think Batman would work hard with the information they have and have shown to fully understand well enough, so that they could offer advice to TNT on how to correct the flaws in their game? Instead, they are spoiling daily results and outing cheaters. Why not offer advice to TNT so they can STOP the cheaters instead of posting threads trying to get fake internet points for useless clout that no one will remember in a couple years?

I'll likely respond to this thread if there's anything else that needs to be said.

Interesting post, I’ve seen his posts a lot before, but wasn’t around back then to know who he was.
I thought he reached out to TNT before, and asked them to pay/hire him for what he was doing, and they declined. I think I read that in a comment maybe, so idk how reliable that is.

I hope this post will reach far and wide. The glorifying of this person should really stop. It's kinda amazing how so many people see them as a saint when they've done nothing of substance to actually help / contribute to the game.

Instead of Batman using his powers to help those prone to crime or address systemic issues, he simply beats the fuck out of people who commit crimes. Someone's buying drugs because they're an addict and afraid to get help? Slammed in the head with a Batarang and straight to jail. Instead of using his massive fortune to address socioeconomic issues, he uses it to invent new ways to beat the shit out of impoverished people who have turned to a life of crime..

But yeah the moment he had said in a so called interview that he tried to monetize his access/attempted to blackmail a black market selling site/also attempted to blackmail TNT into paying him for the vulnerabilities he found... you knew this guy is a total fucking clown with nothing but his own gain on his agenda. *middle finger emoji* as if his ban reason alone wasn't enough of a stain against his name ffs. That's what I never understood. Neopets players vehemently HATE cheaters, yet here comes N_T, revealing all these game mechanics to us, and everyone is okay with an obvious cheater?
I think that goes to show that everyone on Neo that's left is pretty much a cheater or open to it in some way, so long as it benefits them somehow or gets them what they want.
