I've been really boring with Halloween lately, I have a cute bat costume that I've worn the past couple of years that I'm fond of but it's not creative in the slightest. It's like work-appropriate Halloween wear.

This year I'm trying to talk my boyfriend into us doing It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia costumes of two of the characters wearing their Halloween "couples" costumes: Mac as "Vijoe Morganstein, the character from Lord of the Rings" and Dennis as Luigi and pissed off that Mac bailed on dressing up as Mario

I would also accept my boyfriend going as Frank as Man-Spider (totally different than Spiderman!)

@(you need an account to see links) omg my fiance would LOVE to do a Man-Spider costume with me in whatever other it's always sunny outfit but sadly he's out of town so I'm so much less motivated.

We don't get too many trick-or-treaters at our place so usually I just leave out a bowl and let kids take whatever they want! I think there were like... 8 last not-covid year lolol
For work I usually just wear a kigurumi cause it's cozy and work appropriate ahahaha. I have a dalmation one (from a last year where we were Cruella + a dalmation) and a cat one, and there's a fuzzy sheep one I wanna get cause it's so cozy looking!

I’ve always been bad at planning things ahead of time and end up putting something together last minute, but I love Halloween and always have big ideas of what I’d like to dress as. I’m hoping maybe posting here will help me get the ball rolling a little early this year!

My girlfriend and I adored Willow Pill on drag race this year and both low-key want to recreate her looks for Halloween- in particular this mushroom one

Do people usually share photos of their costumes here?

What kind of stuff would you do if you did have something planned?
I haven't lived in a building with children (or at least many) since 2017, and in that one Halloween was an opt-in process and some other stuff made it on the quieter side that year, too. Honestly I have a pretty low social energy, so I think I might be the type that gets a little tired continuing to open the door, but I def would love seeing all the costumes!

Honestly not sure what I would do. Would love to just get invited to something low-key, but I haven't really had the chance to make friends yet in the city I'm currently living and also haven't joined any communities where I can just show up to something, if that makes sense?

Cat is always a solid pick! Maybe it's time to spice the cat up a little? A Pusheen costume could be fun and easy!
Oh you are right!!! I could totally do that! Maybe I can find a costume online! Thanks

We don't usually celebrate Halloween where I live, but I suggested having a Halloween party with my lab colleagues since I never really went to a costume party and I'm hoping that people will be up fpr it. My autistic ass can't handle regular parties as they're too overwhelming for me, but small get-togethers are a bit more doable and we like to hangout a lot. Either way, I might dress up as Luigi to take a couple celebratory pictures if I can! I always wanted to dress up as Luigi, this will be the perfect excuse.

I feel like Halloween isn't as celebrated here as it is everywhere else! But when I did dress up for it I'd go for something pretty generic like a witch or a vampire x'D last time I went as Korra from Legend of Korra though! I made the entire costume from scratch

I have no big plans for Halloween at all, but it will be my grandma's 89th birthday

But to get in the Halloween spirit, I've been setting the mood with spooky movies and shows for now! I saw this Tiktok which prompted me to go to Walmart and immediately copy this and 10/10 the funniest thing I have done for Halloween lol:

Unfortunately I don't go out of my way to celebrate Halloween. I will only dress up for Disney World and that's really it.

I used to love dressing up in my partying days. I mean, I probably would still love it if I made plans or an effort to celebrate. The last couple of years I havent done anything.
Usually when I'm not dressed up and people ask me what I'm going as I tell them, "I'm a serial killer. They look like everyone else."
