I have gotten obsessed this year with this French scifi rock band, which I didn't even know was a genre. Their music is catchy as hell. And it's way better than it looks like it would be based on how goofy the band looks. The second video I'll post has a really fantastic orchestral string accompaniment and it's like....how? How did they get so many talented musicians to participate in this? 😂 I'll have that video start around a good example of it.

I found out about these guys because my local movie theater shows bizarre found footage before the movies start and one night they showed the Ideomatic video. I had to track them down immediately.

I'm glad you liked them! I wouldn't call it weird per say but if you like Les Rockets you may like Giorgio Moroder's solo albums. Les Rockets reminds me of From Here to Eternity, which is one of my favorite albums ever. I guess the album cover qualifies it as being weird enough for the thread





these are two of my favorites plucked from the album but it's one of those albums that really deserves to be listened to in order if you happen to like it, a lot of the songs transition from one into the next without any breaks.

for a fresh contribution to the thread, here's some Electric Six. E6 deserves better than being distilled down into Danger! High Voltage! and Gay Bar but these are their most popular songs and definitely their most memorable videos
trivia: Jack White does the (uncredited) backup vocals on Danger! High Voltage! Both he and E6 are from Detroit.
