I’ve been a bit inactive recently because of some things and those things have also caused some intense headache and even anxiety.
(To make a long story short, the work bully got fired recently but like 4 people quit and I’ve had to pick up a ton of hours on top of being a new mom.)
For me personally, I like to relax with a good comfort show on in the background. I eat my favorite snacks/ foods like rice, green bell peppers, buttered noodles or crackers to munch on. Although that’s been hard since becoming a parent.
Essential items for destressing for me include:
-fluffy soft blankets
-hot herbal tea or some sort of sweet iced coffee, both always accompanied by some water
-fuzzy socks
-animal crossing on my switch
-usually the movie ratatouille on in the background
-a bakery scented candle
There’s so many more me but these are just the first big things that come to mind.
What are things that help you feel comfortable or help you get out of a stressful funk? Personal items, movies, games, or even songs?

💙 Rice and gravy is my favorite comfort food because my grandma made it for me a lot after school and it makes me happy

how are we in some ways twins and in some ways ARCHENEMIES 😂 I am so all about butter noodles, tea, fuzzy socks, and soft blankets, then meanwhile green bell peppers are my least favorite food and I literally can't watch Ratatouille without ugly crying (the one and only time I watched it was the night before a funeral of someone very close to me)
If I can scrape together the energy for it, working out is always a huge help. I never want to go exercise when I'm stressed but it always helps a lot. I tend to ruminate badly over stuff on my mind and working out kind of forcibly severs the line and makes me stop brooding over whatever it is.
Taking my dog for a walk helps. It cheers me up to do something nice for her. Other stuff for me is throwing on my favorite grungy lounge clothes, watching Red Dwarf or It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and playing a game like Diablo or Red Dead 2. Something kind of grindy and repetitive and soothing.
also, smoking a bowl and staring at my fish tank is top notch lol

OMG !!!!! okay so I've always liked the flavor of green bell pepper when it was cooked in with things but I didn't start eating them until I was pregnant and then all of a sudden I just wanted them constantly! It was a weird craving I had that just stuck. Is there a random veggie or fruit you do love? :o
And gaaah I'm so sorry. That is understandable that you feel that way when watching it now.
Working out is definitely helpful!!!

Destressing for me is:
- snuggle/lay on top of my dog until he gets all wiggly and then we wrestle
- make the place dark and put on only nice warm and soft lighting
- Schitt's Creek or a Disney movie (typically Tangled or Moana)
- weed haha
Favorite destressy foods are probably anything that has... layers that I have to sit and really taste over time? So nice dark chocolates and teas, of which I currently loooove sobacha!
